Topeka Friendship Network (TFN)

This is a local organization which offers new Washburn international students an opportunity to develop a friendship with an American family while practicing English and learning more about American culture!  Please note that this is not a host family program where a student lives with a family.

Some activities which international students and their American friendship families do together are:

  • Share a meal together in the family's home
  • Attend sports events, school events, concerts, theater plays or other outings together
  • Be invited to relax in the family's home for an evening or weekend
  • Share about each other's culture and discuss topics of interest

For more information about the Topeka Friendship Network, and/or to sign up to be matched with an American friendship family, please visit the TFN website by clicking here.
